Pamela started Shelor College Consulting after working in Wake County Public Schools as a college counselor. She saw the need for students and their families to have more one on one assistance to help navigate the steps to reach college goals. Pam has spent the last twenty plus years in private, public, charter, international and home school educational settings. She has resided in Cary, NC for over twenty years. She brings her experience to families to help make the transition to college less stressful for all.

Having taught abroad, she understands first hand the challenges of acclimating to new educational systems. Whether your family is navigating the US higher educational system for the first time or it is your first child that you are launching to college, Pamela can help break down the steps needed to help assist your child to reach his or her goals. 

Pamela graduated cum laude from Virginia Tech with a BS in Family and Child Development. She completed a post baccalaureate certificate in College Admissions Counseling from University of California, Riverside. As a member of the Partners Program, Pamela is a certified college essay coach with Wow Writing Workshop’s College Essay Institute.
