College Credit

AP Students - College Board’s Advanced Placement program enables students to pursue college-level studies — with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement or both — while still in high school.
CLEP-College Level Examination Program - The College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP) helps you receive college credit for what you already know, for a fraction of the cost of a college course. Please check the website to see if the colleges that you are considering accept CLEP credit. 
NC State Academic Enrichment Opportunity (AEO) - Juniors and Seniors with exceptional high school records who have exhausted all course options available at their high school may take NC State courses for credit while still in high school. The Academic Enrichment Opportunities (AEO) program is offered to qualified high school students on a year-round basis, including summer sessions. Families are responsible to pay all fees/tuition associated with this program. 
North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) -Student must be in 10th grade to apply. 
Career and College Promise  - allows eligible junior and senior students to take college courses at NC community colleges. It’s sometimes referred to as  dual enrollment.
