Chancellor's Scholars   at Appalachian State University 
A background of superior academic ability based on active, involved learning?

Competitive SAT (ACT) scores? Our most recent class of incoming Chancellor's Scholars had an average 1453 SAT - critical reading + math.
Full institutional costs for eight semesters, which include: tuition, fees, book rental, and room and board.
EC Scholars Award Program
The program offers a significant scholarship at $45,000 and challenging learning experiences to a highly academically gifted select group of East Carolina University undergraduates.  The EC Scholars Award Program provides students with rigorous coursework, research opportunities with faculty members across campus, and a required Study Abroad experience.
The Goodnight Scholars Program invests in students from middle-income families in North Carolina studying in the STEM and Education disciplines. This investment represents a commitment to our students’ personal, professional and academic development through scholarship funding, comprehensive programming and enrichment opportunities. The Program empowers Goodnight Scholars to “pay it forward” as transformational leaders at NC State University, in North Carolina and in the world.
John Montgomery Belk Scholarship at Davidson
The Belk Scholarship can provide you comprehensive funding (tuition, fees, room and board) plus study stipends that allow you great flexibility in the on- and off-campus opportunities you choose to explore. Those experiences, paired with our academic programs, deepen your intellect, maturity, and global understanding.
Levine Scholars Program- UNC Charlotte
The Levine Scholars Program takes the brightest, most capable students and gives them the tools, resources and environment they need to connect, transform and make a difference in the world. The four-year scholarship includes full tuition, room, board, a grant to implement a service project of the Scholar’s own design, and four summers of experiences that will develop leadership skills, social awareness and an international perspective. The total value of this four-year package is estimated at $105,000 for in-state students and $155,000 for out-of-state students.
Lewis and Elizabeth Dowdy Scholars Program at NC A and T
The Lewis and Elizabeth Dowdy Scholars Program is the premier undergraduate merit scholarship at North Carolina A&T State University. The program provides a four (4) year renewable scholarship that includes tuition and related fees, room and board to incoming freshmen only who plan to enroll in the upcoming Fall semester. This enrichment program invests in students with extraordinary potential to be the transformational leaders of their generation. The program is highly competitive, open to all disciplines, and provides access to the best North Carolina A&T State University has to offer our students.
Meredith's Legacy Scholarship
This prestigious scholarship is the highest honor available to an entering freshman, with a total estimated value of $170,000. Competition is open to any high school student, and the scholarship is awarded based on superior academic achievement, intellectual promise and leadership ability.  Meredith Legacy Scholars receive full tuition, room and board, books, supplies, international study, networking opportunities with the College president and alumnae, and other academic enrichment programs.
Morehead-Cain Scholarship at UNC-Chapel Hill 
Support for your life at Carolina: full tuition, student housing, meals, books and laptop, supplies and miscellaneous and Discovery Funds to be used for education opportunities. 
National Alumni Scholarship  at NC A and T
The National Alumni Scholarship recognizes exceptional academic talent and ability. This scholarship represents the Alumni Association’s pledge to assist the university in attracting quality students. This award covers full tuition, related fees, room, board and books renewable for four(4) years as long as the students meet the yearly requirements.  
Park Scholarship is awarded on the basis of outstanding accomplishments and potential in scholarship, leadership, service and character. Four-year scholarship at NC State is valued at up to $107,000 in-state and up to $186,000 out-of-state, including tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, travel, and personal expenses.
Pisgah Scholars at UNC-Ashville
Pisgah Scholars are renewable for up to 4 years (eight semesters) provided that the student maintains the specified minimum grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00, remains full-time in each semester and does not have a break in their enrollment.
Scholars are chosen by the following criteria:

  • Academic excellence, as demonstrated by a high grade point average during high school or above average scores on the SAT or ACT 
  • Interest in or passion for an academic program offered by UNC Asheville 
  • Extracurricular engagement 
  • Exemplary community service or community leadership
Presidential Fellows  at Gardner-Webb University
Value full tuition, room and board $39,200
The Ignite Excellence Scholarship interviews serve as an opportunity for qualified students to compete for our most competitive academic scholarships. Held in February, these interviews are comprised of three parts designed to help the selection committee determine the candidates that exemplify academic excellence. After being accepted to the university, students with a minimum GPA of 3.75, along with an ACT score of 25 or higher, or a composite SAT score of 1200 on the two-part (evidence based reading/writing and math) will be extended the opportunity to apply for the scholarship. The application deadline is December the 15
th . After all applications have been received, candidates will be notified of their interview date.
The Robertson Scholars Leadership Program invests in young leaders who strive to make transformational contributions to society.The Robertson Scholars Leadership Program’s investment begins with the selection of a diverse community of undergraduate students – generally 18 at Duke and 18 at UNC-Chapel Hill each year – who demonstrate extraordinary potential. We provide these young leaders with exceptional benefits and a distinctive set of shared experiences:
Four-year scholarship, including undergraduate tuition, mandatory fees, room and board
Unique access to the academic and extracurricular offerings at both Duke and UNC-Chapel Hill
UNC-Greenboro Blue and Gold Scholarships
Approximately thirty renewable scholarships(ranging from $1,500 to full tuition, fees, room and board) are offered annually to entering freshmen. Blue & Gold Scholarship recipients are chosen primarily on the basis of superior scholastic and personal achievement and potential. Successful candidates generally present a minimum SAT score of 1200 (critical reading and math) or an ACT score of 27, and a minimum high school GPA of 3.5.

The UNC Scholars Program delivers the best of both worlds — the access and attention of an elite scholarship, coupled with the resources and reach of a global research university. Awards range from $9,000 annually up to the full cost of attendance. With a cohort of talented classmates, exclusive events, and faculty and staff mentors, scholars enjoy the very best of the Carolina experience.
